It is an exciting time in Wakefield as we launch our new Youth Support Service and continue to expand our offer for young people aged 11 to 24.

About the Role:
This role will work closely with the District Coordinator to develop and strengthen the youth offer across the district. The post will focus not only on enhancing provision within the service but also on supporting partner organisations, securing external funding opportunities, and coordinating a joined-up, multi-agency approach to youth support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support project management activities to deliver high-quality youth provision.
  • Oversee funding applications and support the development of successful external funding bids.
  • Monitor grant-funded projects, ensuring outcomes and reporting requirements are met.
  • Deliver frontline support within community hubs and youth settings as required.
  • Provide operational support to reception teams and hub staff to ensure the effective running of services.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with statutory, voluntary, and community sector organisations to enhance the local youth offer.

Essential requirements:

  • Evidence of a good level of education including 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above.
  • ECDL or equivalent ICT qualification.
  • RSA3 Word Processing or equivalent.
  • NVQ Business Administration – Level 2.
