Project Support Officer (Project Delivery)
12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Grade 8 – Full Time (37 Hours per week)
Hastings Borough Council is recruiting a Project Support Officer to support the delivery of the White Rock Gardens Regeneration Project, a high-profile political and community priority.
This 12 month role, funded by the Levelling Up Fund, is essential to progressing early-stage delivery and ensuring we meet key milestones. The focus will be on preparing for the procurement of a new leisure provider, which requires a coordinated approach across several critical activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the coordination and finalisation of the site masterplan
- Conducting soft market testing activities
- Engaging with local community groups and stakeholders
- Helping design and maintain project plans, timelines, and progress tracking tools.
The Project Officer will work closely with the Community Initiatives Project Manager, supporting strategic delivery and helping to manage timelines, documentation, and engagement activities. This includes preparing briefings and reports for internal and external stakeholders, and contributing to the development of a broader regeneration programme.
Essential skills and experience:
- Experience of working in partnerships and project implementation/delivery
- Experience working in a stakeholder environment and managing different interest.
- Understanding of project prioritisation processes and project viability
