Our Team:
Our team is composed of experienced data analysts who have worked in the NHS and local authority and have a great reputation across the council and beyond. You will also be working closely with our public health development manager across the data and intelligence programmes that underpin Directorate’s work. We have a large public health team working across the life course- we are all based at Runcorn Town Hall with opportunities for hybrid working as well as travel to meet partners as needed.
Hours: 37 per week
Your Contributions:
Are you able to lead and develop research across the council, championing evidence-informed practice and embedding research into everyday work, while managing public health intelligence staff and overseeing staffing and public health training budgets to ensure delivery within cost limits?

We are looking for a motivated Public Health Research Programme and Intelligence Manager who has:
A Masters in Public Health, Research methods or related subject OR equivalent relevant experience.
At least three years’ experience working with complex datasets and within or alongside academic or research environments.
Experience in operating within governance and budget management frameworks.
Experience of working with senior partners across local systems, including local authorities, universities, voluntary and statutory organisation
Strong knowledge of research and evaluation methods, epidemiology, health needs assessment, research ethics and information governance.
Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills are essential, alongside the ability to manage multiple priorities and work flexibly in a complex and evolving public health environment.
