About the Role

Are you passionate about driving service excellence and continuous improvement? We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Quality and Performance Coordinator to lead the development and delivery of quality assurance and performance improvement across our Highway Operations Service.

This is a pivotal role that ensures our operational outputs meet industry standards, statutory obligations, and corporate priorities. You’ll be at the forefront of embedding a culture of quality, safety, and performance excellence, while supporting strategic decision-making through robust data analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of a quality assurance framework across Highway Operations.
  • Oversee performance monitoring systems, audits, and improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards and statutory requirements.
  • Produce performance reports and dashboards for senior leaders and elected members.
  • Drive continuous improvement through data-led insights and stakeholder engagement.
  • Represent the service in public forums, political engagement, and partnership collaboration.

About You

You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in quality assurance and performance roles.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • A collaborative leadership style and a commitment to service transformation.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards, performance frameworks, and quality improvement methodologies.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in a political or local government environment.
  • Familiarity with benchmarking, asset management, and advanced analytics tools.
  • Ability to deliver training and embed cultural change.

Qualifications

  • Relevant professional qualification or extensive experience in a similar role.
