This is an exciting opportunity to join our Safeguarding, Quality Assurance, Performance and Partnerships Service and play a key role in supporting quality assurance, performance monitoring and service improvement across Children's Services.

The Safeguarding, Quality Assurance, Performance and Partnerships Service plays a key role in promoting and supporting high-quality practice across Children's Services. We provide oversight, challenge and support through audit activity, performance reporting, thematic review work and partnership activity to help improve outcomes for children and families.

About the Role
Working within the Safeguarding, Quality Assurance, Performance and Partnerships Service, you will provide dedicated support to the Quality Assurance Team, supporting improvement activity across Children's Services.
You will have skills in collecting, analysing and presenting performance and quality assurance information and data to support the team in identifying strengths, emerging themes, and areas for development.
The role will involve the co-ordination and administration of monthly audit activity across the whole service, including allocating audits and moderations, tracking completion rates and supporting the production of audit findings and reports. You will work closely with the team manager to develop and maintain effective systems for monitoring quality assurance activity and tracking the impact of improvement actions.
You will be responsible for producing a range of performance and quality assurance reports, dashboards, graphs and infographics. Working closely with the manager you will support the production of monthly Highlight Reports, service-specific reports, thematic reviews, annual reports and partnership reporting activity.
You will be proficient in using excel and maintain systems for tracking escalations, audit actions, inadequate practice processes and feedback from children, families, practitioners and professionals, helping to ensure that improvement activity is monitored and progress is understood.
We offer a flexible hybrid working model. While daily office attendance is not required, post holders may be expected to attend the office on occasion for in-person meetings to support effective collaboration and service delivery. We are happy to discuss your requirements.
We are looking for a highly organised and analytical individual who is passionate about using data and information to support practice improvement and positive outcomes for children and families.
You will:
- Have experience of collecting, analysing and presenting data and information.
- Be confident using spreadsheets, databases, reporting tools and data software, including Excel, Power BI or similar systems.
- Have experience of producing reports, dashboards, presentations and performance information.
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Be able to identify trends and patterns from a variety of information sources and present these clearly.
- Have experience of coordinating activities, maintaining tracking systems and monitoring progress against timescales.
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills and the ability to track/manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Build effective working relationships with practitioners, managers and partners across Children's Services.
- Be committed to supporting a learning culture through the use of data, quality assurance findings and performance information to strengthen practice and improve outcomes.
- Have excellent communication skills and the confidence to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
Experience of working within Children's Services, social care, safeguarding, quality assurance, performance, business intelligence or a related field would be advantageous.

Salary range
- £31,525 - £34,811 per year
