About the role

You will lead audit, assurance and improvement activity, using evidence from audits, safeguarding, complaints, feedback, reviews and CQC assurance to understand what works well and where we can do better.

Working with teams, senior managers, safeguarding colleagues and partners, you will offer clear advice, constructive challenge and practical recommendations that turn insight into meaningful change.

What you will be doing

  • Lead audits, thematic reviews and practice standards activity.
  • Use evidence to identify themes, risks, strengths and improvement priorities.
  • Turn learning into action through advice, guidance and constructive challenge.
  • Produce clear, evidence-based reports for governance and senior leaders.
  • Support CQC readiness and evidence safe, lawful, person-centred, strengths-based practice.

About you

You will enjoy detail, ask thoughtful questions and build positive relationships. You will be confident influencing across services, communicating clearly and helping people receive safe, strengths-based and high-quality support.

What you will bring

  • A recognised social work qualification, Social Work England registration and substantial Adult Social Care experience.
  • Essential leadership experience, with the confidence to support, influence and challenge others constructively.
  • Sound knowledge of Adult Social Care legislation, safeguarding and strengths-based practice.
  • Experience of quality assurance, audit, review or improvement activity.
  • Strong analytical, report writing, presentation and recommendation-making skills.
  • A commitment to equality, co-production and learning from lived experience.
  • Curiosity, creativity, resilience and energy for improving practice

Why join us?

You will influence standards, strengthen safeguarding assurance and help shape how learning improves practice across Adult Social Care.

You will join a supportive team that values reflective practice, collaboration, professional curiosity and making a positive difference together.

If you are passionate about great social work practice, we would love to hear from you.
