    About the role

    As a Supervisor, you’ll respond to referrals and advise on eligibility for services. You will also support and assist a group of staff in the undertaking of social care assessments with individuals, and putting in place ongoing support plans to meet individual’s needs.

    Our Supervisors assist the registered manager in the training and induction of staff to ensure appropriate competent staff for service. Your management skills will inspire your team and promote a culture of open communication.

    You’ll set clear goals for your team, prioritise and direct the workload of the team. You’ll recognise high performance and feedback regularly to your team, whilst listening to and acting on their feedback to you around any concerns they may have. You’ll monitor your team’s performance, identifying training needs and provide coaching in ways which ensure good practices are developed and maintained within the service.

    Deputise for the registered manager in their absence, including monitoring the quality of the service and taking actions to rectify operational difficulties.

    Ultimately, your role is to lead a team to provide high quality, person-centred care in a way which promotes the dignity, privacy, safety and independence of people using the service.

    Shifts: A mixture of late and earlies, between the hours of 7am and 10.30pm with alternate weekend working and bank holidays.

    Additional information

    • Evidence of ongoing CPD to demonstrate knowledge of latest research and good practice guidance.
    • QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care or relevant other discipline (if not held, must be willing to work towards).
    • Knowledge and understanding of National Care Standards.
    • Proven experience and knowledge of the customer group sufficient to lead, direct and train staff.
    • Basic computer skills in Word, Excel and email.

    A full driving license and access to your own vehicle is required as you will travel countywide as and when required.
