Hackney is one of the most dynamic and progressive local authorities in the UK. We are a resilient, vibrant, and creative borough in the heart of London, with strong, diverse communities and a powerful set of shared values.
Over the past twenty years, the Council has built up first-class services, outstanding public infrastructure, and a reputation for excellence, innovation, and ambition. We are leading the way on essential work, such as our fight for equity in Hackney, with a particular focus on becoming an actively anti-racist borough. But the work doesn’t stop there, we are proactive in our approach to bringing fairness to all aspects of life including gender, neurodiversity and across the poverty divide.
The Post
The role of the Reablement Registered Manager is critical to ensuring the service is legally compliant, operationally effective, financially sustainable and aligned with Hackney’s strategic priorities around independence, prevention and community-based care. The Registered Manager will have overall responsibility for ensuring the service meets and maintains full compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and standards, embedding a culture of continuous quality improvement, robust governance and safe, person-centred practice.
The Reablement Registered Manager will be responsible for the in-house Reablement provision in the provided services, following an assessment from a Social Worker.
The role is focused on delivering safe, person-centred support that upholds dignity, choice and respect, enabling people to remain as independent as possible.
The service works with the most complex and at-risk service users, ensuring that their dignity, choice and respect are the cornerstones of all that it does, allowing people to remain as independent as possible.
The Registered manager will oversee the in-house Reablement and will provide supervision for the team leaders while working in collaboration with other colleagues and partners. The Reablement Assessment Flats (RAFs) offer short-term accommodation for Hackney residents who are ready to leave hospital but are not yet able to return home safely.
These flats are a key part of Hackney’s new Reablement offer, making this an exciting time to join the team as we support residents regain independence and plan their long-term housing and care needs.
