Agile Worker: 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location (hybrid working)

At L&Q, we’re transforming how we deliver income management through our Operational Excellence strategy focused on consistent, high-quality services that improve outcomes for residents and the business.
We’re looking for an experienced Regional Income Manager (11 month FTC) to take ownership of a large, complex portfolio, leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver strong income collection, reduce arrears, and drive performance across the full arrears lifecycle.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll combine operational grip, stakeholder influence, and sector expertise to deliver measurable results.

Your impact in the role:
- Leading and developing teams managing 9,000–20,000 accounts, delivering against multi-million-pound arrears portfolios (£5.5m–£8.5m)
- Driving income maximisation and debt recovery performance, ensuring consistent delivery against KPIs
- Creating a high-performance culture, coaching and developing Customer Account Managers to deliver results
- Taking ownership of complex arrears cases, working with legal partners, local authorities and external agencies to drive resolution
- Using data and performance insight to identify risks, improve outcomes and influence senior decision-making
- Embedding a “one team” approach across Income Management, working collaboratively to improve service delivery and customer outcomes
- Supporting continuous improvement, policy development and operational strategy
What you'll bring:
- Leadership and Management Skills: Experience managing teams in a fast-paced, results-focused environment, with the ability to motivate and mentor staff to achieve their best. A proven track record of managing change and motivating teams to consistently achieve KPI’s. Strong team working and team building skills.
- Advanced Communication and Customer Service: Exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with team members, residents, and a wide range of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Housing Law and Court Procedures: In-depth understanding of Housing Law, Landlord and Tenant Law, and welfare reform, with the ability to oversee legal debt recovery processes.
- Organisational and Problem-Solving Abilities: Self-motivated and well-organised, with a talent for prioritising tasks to meet deadlines and support organisational objectives.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal skills to work proactively with internal teams and external partners, creating holistic solutions for complex arrears cases.
- Data Analysis and Performance Management: Ability to produce and analyse performance management information, supporting decision-making at the Senior Management level.
