Job description

Role Overview

The Regional Manager will report directly to England Partnership & Engagement Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:

Represent the organisation with external stakeholders across private, public, and third sectors.

  • Develop and implement the engagement strategy and business plan for the region.
  • Drive increased traffic and engagement with our guidance and services to support improved business and customer outcomes.
  • Grow awareness of and trust in our brands.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure regional delivery aligns with overall business strategy.
  • Plan and deliver forums and events, manage communications and external affairs in the region to improve customer access to help and support.
  • Share strategic approaches and good practices related to debt, money, and pensions advice with external stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage reputational risks within the region.
  • Engage with employers to improve employee management of money, debt, and pensions.
  • Foster collaboration between organisations in the region to maximise impact.
  • Support marketing campaigns and deliver local media interviews as applicable.
  • Provide insights from external interactions to shape future strategy.

Person specification

You will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience.

  • Strong understanding of the public/third sector landscape and the financial wellbeing agenda, ideally with established knowledge of the East Midlands region.
  • Expertise in relationship and key account management with a proven ability to influence and engage organisations.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of organisations in both private and public sectors.
  • Comfort engaging with senior leaders, MPs and media as a credible regional ambassador for MaPS.
  • Strong understanding of local policy and its relevance to organisational goals.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Demonstrable project management skills.
  • Self-motivated with a drive to succeed.
  • Must have a driving licence and access to a vehicle - Essential due to frequent travel across the East Midlands region

Selection process details

Reserve List
If you are successful at interview, we operate a reserve list where your details will be held for up to 6 months. Should a vacancy come available in that time with the same essential criteria, reserve list candidates will be offered that position with no further assessment required.

Our Recruitment Process

Step 1: Submit Your Application

Open: 20th February , Deadline: 8th March

Your application will consist of your most up to date CV detailing your experience and a covering letter to highlight your skills in how you meet the essential criteria. This cover letter should be no more than 1,000 words.

Step 2: Telephone Interview

Between: 21st February – 09th March

Candidates who meet the initial criteria will be invited to a friendly, informal telephone interview with the Reed team. This is an opportunity to discuss your experience and gain further insight into the role.

Step 3: Final Stage Interview

Week commencing: 24th March (Subject to change)

The final stage of the interview process will be held I person in the Bedford office and will focus on a series of competency-based questions and a presentation designed to assess your skills and experience.
