Lift Schools is one of the largest and most ambitious multi-academy trusts in England. With schools across five regions, our mission is clear: to provide an excellent education for every child, in every classroom, every day.
English sits at the heart of that mission. We believe that strong foundations in English and literacy unlock opportunity, academic success and lifelong learning. We are now seeking an expert English leader to drive subject-specific school improvement in our East region.
About the role
This exciting new role sits at the heart of our school support team. Working closely with our East schools, the Regional English Leader will build capacity and expertise to ensure excellent English teaching, leadership and student outcomes across the region.
You will lead the implementation of our English strategy across the schools, providing expert support and guidance to English leaders and their teams. You will use your experience and leadership skills to drive improvements in standards and teaching in English.
This role blends strategic development with practical hands-on support. You will be jointly accountable for subject performance and improvement with local leaders: this means working collaboratively with colleagues, giving advice and counsel and leading by example, including in promoting our shared values and mindsets. You will also have the opportunity to develop an area of national expertise to deliver impact across our network.
Reporting to the National Lead for Secondary English as part of an exciting new team of Regional English Leaders, you will work alongside our brilliant East Regional Education Director, Gemma Frost, Heads of Department, Principals and other school leaders. This is a highly influential role, combining vision, expertise and effective implementation to make a meaningful difference to thousands of children nationwide.
About you
