We are recruiting a Registration and Celebratory Services Officerat Caerphilly County Borough Council.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organization.

We pay an attractive salary of £16.35 per hour and offer access to training and development opportunities.

Caerphilly Registration Service wishes to appoint Relief Registration and Celebratory Services Officers to provide additional casual support mainly for conducting and registering civil marriage and civil partnership ceremonies.

The working pattern will be on a relief basis, as and when required over 7 days a week, including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays. The work can be seasonal with the majority over the spring and summer months. Applicants must be available to work on all 7 days of a week.

Whilst the shift pattern is provided on a rota in advance, you may also be called on at short notice.

For the role, we ask that you have:

  • Good general education to GCSE standard or Level 1 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework.
  • Working knowledge of the Registration Service.
  • The ability to work flexibly including weekends and public holidays as required by the needs of the service.
  • Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough to attend ceremonies at various locations and visit clients at their home.
