    The role:

    • An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Regulatory and Licensing Enforcement Officer to join the licensing enforcement team. As the successful post holder, you will undertake a wide range of duties, including taxi licensing, premise licensing (sale of alcohol and regulated entertainment) and street trading. You will work closely with other enforcement agencies within Liverpool City Council and external partners such as the Police
    • The ideal candidate for the role of Regulatory and Licensing Enforcement Officer will have an ability to apply legal knowledge to resolve problems, and a willingness to lead and undertake investigations and attend court / committee proceedings
    • As the role is fast-paced, we require the post holder to work well under pressure and have the ability to meet strict deadlines. You should have good interpersonal and customer care skills, and have experience in dealing with confrontational situations. You will have the opportunity to work in a diverse and developing environment where you can have an input into managing change successfully
    • The Regulatory and Licensing Enforcement Officer role involves working on a shift basis that covers weekend working, day and night shifts, and bank holiday working so a flexible approach is essential. You will receive shift allowance and weekend enhancements as determined by your rota
