Two roles available
Regions & office locations:
- North Counties & North West London – Dunstable or Ealing
- North East London & South London – Islington or Waterloo
Regular travel across regions and providing cover when required is part of the role.
About the role
We’re recruiting two Repairs Inspector Team Leaders to lead teams of Repairs Inspectors and play a critical role in a new approach to inspection quality and contractor performance.
This is a key role for someone who is confident challenging contractors, takes ownership of outcomes, and ensures residents are at the heart of every decision. You’ll work across regions, manage a dispersed team, and help ensure repairs are delivered safely, to a high standard, and represent value for money.
What we’re looking for
You’ll have experience in repairs, inspections, maintenance or property services, and be someone who can:
- Challenge contractor performance to improve quality, compliance and outcomes
- Take accountability for inspection standards, decisions and results
- Use initiative and innovation to improve ways of working, particularly in a new or developing service
- Balance resident needs, safety, quality and cost to reach the right outcome
- Manage and support a team of Repairs Inspectors across multiple locations
- Travel across regions and provide cover for other areas when needed
Our service standards and values
How you work matters just as much as what you deliver. In this role, you’ll demonstrate our service standards by:
- Getting things sorted and seeing issues through
- Keeping residents updated with clear, honest communication
- Being accountable and honest, especially when things go wrong
- Listening and supporting residents and colleagues
- Learning and improving, using feedback and insight to improve services
You’ll also live our values by doing the right thing, keeping our promises, pulling together, being kind, celebrating diversity, and loving new ideas.
Why join us?
- Be part of a new and evolving service, with the opportunity to influence how inspection and contractor management is delivered
- Work in a role where your judgement, initiative and values genuinely matter
- Make a visible difference to residents’ homes and experiences
- Join a values‑led organisation committed to fairness, accountability and continuous improvement
- Work collaboratively with colleagues who care about doing the right thing
We offer:
- 30 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays.
- Flexible benefits package – including healthcare, dental, and lifestyle discounts.
- 4x life assurance.
- Ongoing training and development, including qualifications and apprenticeships.
- Two additional paid volunteering days each year.
- Up to 10% matched pension contribution.
What to expect from our recruitment process
We’re committed to a fair, inclusive, and transparent recruitment process.
Because we are recruiting four positions, we will be shortlisting and interviewing candidates throughout the live advertising period. This means you may be contacted about an interview before the advert closes.
In person interviews will be held on the 19 May at our offices in Pitsea, Basildon.
