Contract Type: FTC until 22nd September 2026, Full-Time, 35 hours

Salary: £35,951 per annum (London weighted salary) or £32,188 per annum (Regional salary), dependant on experience

Grade: 7

Reporting Office: London, Stratford or Manchester, Trafford

Persona: Agile Worker: 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location (hybrid working)

We’re looking for a Resident Communications Officer to join our Resident Communications Team. In this role, you’ll help make sure resident voice and experience are heard, represented and embedded across the organisation, while delivering high-quality, accessible and compliant communications.

Reporting to the Head of Resident Communications, you’ll support both internal and external activity that promotes resident voice, strengthens engagement and ensures L&Q meets evolving regulatory requirements.

You’ll be part of a collaborative team that champions resident voice and helps shape real, positive change across our homes and communities. You’ll also have opportunities to develop your skills, contribute to meaningful projects and support L&Q’s social mission.

Your impact in the role:

  • Supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of impactful resident communications campaigns, including written, recorded and filmed content that showcases resident voice
  • Producing high-quality copy for a range of channels, like newsletters, social media, news stories, web content and internal platforms
  • Leading the production of L&Q’s monthly resident newsletter and contributing to other resident-focused publications
  • Maintaining accurate, up-to-date and engaging content across digital platforms, including the intranet, Viva Engage and the L&Q website
  • Helping colleagues adopt best practice by guiding them to templates, how to guides and training resources to improve resident communications across the organisation
  • Supporting governance, regulatory compliance and risk management for all resident communication activities.

What you'll bring:

  • A degree, equivalent qualification or significant experience in communications
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofing skills with a strong eye for detail
  • Experience working in a busy communications function and strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational and planning ability and a track record of delivering communications activity on time
  • Confidence using MS Office and digital content systems
  • Ability to produce high-quality content and materials for diverse audiences.
