    What is the job role?

    There are 3 key areas of skill essential to this role:

    • Day to Day Carer – Help children maintain their daily routines in a safe, supportive environment where they can flourish. In some of our homes, this may include supporting children with their personal care needs.
    • Relationship Builder – Ongoing support through positive relationships and promoting the development of meaningful interaction, guided by the values of: child-centred care, respect, dignity, good parenting, independence, fulfilment, and partnership.
    • Educator– Share information with children in an accessible way, empowering them to make informed choices about their care and future.

    Please Note: This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

    Important Information

    • Posts:We are recruiting for full-time 37-hour & 28hr per week posts for vacancies across the service which includes homes for children with disabilities.
    • Working patterns:These are based on a 12-week flexible rota, which will include evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins.
    • Right to Work: all candidates must have Right to Work in the UK with a minimum of 26months remaining on their existing Right to Work. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.
    • Applications:As part of the process and to meet the requirements of Schedule 2 of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, you will need to provide us with your full work history since leaving school and identify any gaps in employment.
