    An exciting opportunity has arisen as a shared resource between Dacorum Borough Council and Watford Borough Council as the Resilience Lead Officer for each organisation. The role will manage the appropriate plans and processes, to ensure that the response from a Critical Incident is robust and appropriate and compliments the response from other partner agencies.

    The Resilience Lead Officer will provide a lead in ensuring the Emergency Plans, policies and procedures and Business Continuity Plans are robust for each organisation. They will work in partnership with departmental managers to ensure that in the event of an Emergency or Business Continuity Incident, staff have been appropriately trained, equipped and have the plans and processes in place to respond to an incident and maintain the agreed levels of service for their areas of responsibility.

    The ability to manage their time equally between the two organisations and to build strong and meaningful relationships with colleagues and contractors is required as well as tact, diplomacy and the ability to negotiate. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to achieve defined performance targets.

    Applicants must have a driving licence that is valid in the UK.

    A Basic check will be undertaken with the Disclosure and Barring Service to ensure that the successful candidate has no relevant convictions.
