Retrofit Project Coordinator

About the role

We are delivering a major programme of sustainability and carbon‑reduction works across our homes as part of our long‑term Sustainability Strategy. Much of this work focuses on retrofitting older buildings, improving energy performance and transitioning from traditional systems, such as old gas boilers to modern, low‑carbon solutions including electric heating, solar technologies, improved ventilation, insulation upgrades and whole‑house energy efficiency improvements.

As our Retrofit Project Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring these projects which include ECO, SHDF, LAD, HUG and other government‑funded programmes are delivered accurately, on time and in full compliance with strict funding requirements. Our programmes are 50% government‑sponsored, meaning the evidence you manage must stand up to audit, meet regulatory standards and demonstrate exactly how public money has been spent. Failure to meet compliance may result in funds being withdrawn, so accuracy and attention to detail are essential.

You will work electronically across shared systems, reviewing evidence, coordinating workstreams and supporting the day‑to‑day delivery of retrofit activity.

You will work closely with:

  • A wider consortium (including our subsidiary Town and Country Housing) on upcoming projects

If you’ve worked on large sustainability, retrofit or compliance‑driven programmes before especially ECO, SHDF, LAD or Housing Upgrade Grant projects you’ll thrive in this environment.

What you’ll be doing

  • Coordinate day‑to‑day delivery of retrofit and sustainability projects, including heating upgrades, ventilation improvements, insulation and low‑carbon technologies.
  • Manage project schedules, workflows and communication across multiple service providers and consortium partners.
  • Handle all data and evidence requirements, ensuring accurate, compliant submissions for schemes such as ECO, SHDF, LAD and HUG.
  • Monitor budgets, check invoices and track financial performance against project targets.
  • Maintain clear documentation, audit trails and evidence packs for government‑funded programmes.
  • Support Resident Liaison Officers by managing resident data, updates and complaint handling.
  • Provide consistent updates to project managers, contractors and internal teams.

About you

You’re organised, accurate and calm under pressure. You enjoy working with data, understanding the details behind evidence, and coordinating multiple streams of activity. You are confident dealing with people at all levels from residents to contractors to technical specialists.

You will also have:

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with complex data.
  • Experience working in a project, sustainability, technical or compliance‑driven environment.
  • Good digital skills (Excel, CRM or similar).
  • A relevant qualification or equivalent experience (e.g., Accounting, Business Administration, Retrofit
