    We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Safeguarding Officer to play a vital role in supporting the welfare and safety of students at Maltings Academy. Working closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead, you will help to ensure effective safeguarding procedures are in place and provide essential support to students, staff, and families.

    We are looking for someone who:

    • Has a strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and procedures, particularly Keeping Children Safe in Education.
    • Can provide advice, guidance and support to staff and students on safeguarding concerns.
    • Is confident working with external agencies and managing referrals to ensure student welfare.
    • Has excellent interpersonal skills and can build trusted relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
      Is highly organised, responsive and emotionally resilient, with a passion for supporting young people.

    About Maltings Academy

    Maltings is an 11-16 academy based in Witham, Essex. Situated between the cities of Chelmsford and Colchester, the academy has 900 students on roll and benefits from a purpose-built building that was constructed in 2011. There are excellent transport links to London which enables our staff and young people to take full advantage of the wealth of opportunities that London provides. Free car parking facilities are available on site.
