Job Introduction

37 hours per week, primarily Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm, with occasional evening and weekend working.

Princes Hall are seeking an exceptional individual to lead the Sales and Events activities at the venue.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading on all activities relating to venue hiring, box office operations and marketing activities, managing a team of four permanent and two casual staff.

They will be responsible for acting as the primary contact for main hall hirers from initial enquiry through to the event itself, coordinating other departments to ensure smooth delivery of events. They will build relationships with other organisations, community groups and local businesses with the intention of developing new business for the venue.

The postholder will be responsible for co-ordinating the sales and marketing activities at the venue. Alongside the Venue Manager, they will set all marketing strategies for the venue and work with the Sales & Marketing Officer to deliver effective marketing campaigns.

They will ensure that the Sales and Events team maximise income generation to the venue through ticket sales, hiring income, sponsorship, advertising, donations and Friends membership.

The postholder will also be responsible for overseeing event bookings at several of the Council’s community centres.
