Join our Beverley Lewis House Team at L&Q Living:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Scheme Manager to join our Beverley Lewis House team, providing a person-centred support to women with learning disabilities, mental health and/or autism who are fleeing domestic abuse or harm.

Beverley Lewis House is the only safe house in the country for women with learning disabilities. It has won two national awards and appeared on Channel 4’s Dispatches show as an example of good practice. The scheme only supports six women so this means that you will have plenty of time to carry out productive and meaningful work, helping them to live independently whilst recovering from trauma.

It is essential that you have experience managing services for adults with mental health support needs and learning disabilities, and a strong working knowledge of the framework of Person-Centred Care and Positive Behaviour Support.

If this sounds like you, we would love for you to apply!

Your impact in the role:

Reporting to the Locality Manager, you will take operational responsibility for the scheme, leading a dedicated team to deliver person‑centred support that promotes independence, choice and self-determination. You will also oversee financial and administrative processes, ensuring safe, compliant and consistently high standards of care.

What you'll bring:

  • A compassionate, person‑centred approach with a strong commitment to supporting women with complex needs.

  • Relevant qualifications, including NVQ Level 4/5 (or equivalent) and/or a recognised management qualification.

  • Sound knowledge of health and social care legislation, including MCA and DoLS, applied in a recovery‑focused way.

  • Confident, values‑led leadership, with experience of developing and motivating teams.

  • The ability to manage services safely and effectively, including care planning, risk management and quality assurance.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with a flexible and resilient approach to service delivery.

*Please note that due to the nature of this position, it is an occupational requirement that this role is carried out by women only. This is in line with Genuine Occupational Requirement (GOR), Schedule 9 (Work; Exceptions), Part 1 (Occupational Requirements), of the Equality Act (2010) applies.
