    About the role

    Do you have extensive leadership and management experience in school and or as part of a local authority?

    Are you passionate about raising standards and maintaining these?

    West Northamptonshire School Effectiveness Team is looking for an effective senior leader to join our team, full-time, as a School Improvement Partner to work closely with our maintained schools in supporting and challenging them.

    The position will involve carrying our regular visits to a group of allocated schools, with a specific focus related to school effectiveness, leading on a specific area within that team, be that curriculum development, assessment, inclusion etc. and carrying out training.

    The role will require travelling within West Northamptonshire.

    The role is exempt from the rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore subject to an enhanced DBS certificate. It is also a regulated activity and will be subject to a children and adults barred list check. West Northamptonshire Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

    Additional information

    • You will have extensive experience of working as part of a senior leadership within a range of schools
    • You will have extensive knowledge of the education sector and the current challenges faced
    • You will have extensive knowledge and experience of safeguarding children
    • You will be passionate about education opportunities and outcomes and be committed to ensuring high quality provision in schools across West Northamptonshire

    • Have the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
