    Overall Job Purpose:

    The main purpose of the job is to provide a uniformed presence representing Arun District Council on the promenades and foreshores during the period from March to September. You will help promote education and understanding of waterside safety and the local environment. You will ensure compliance with the relevant byelaws by authorised means. React to issues and concerns that impact on the public safety as quickly and efficiently as possible. In some instance the inspectors must refer issues to the relevant authority and will at no time put themselves at risk. You will be a local information point for all seafront visitors. You will work at Bognor Regis or Littlehampton, as required by the Foreshore Officer. Please note that a full and clean driving licence is an essential requirement for all post-holders.
