Seasonal Cliff Railways Assistant

Start Date: ASAP

End date: 30th September 2026

2 x 22.5 hours per week

Grade 10 - £25,583 per annum (pro rata)

2 x Seasonal Vacancies have become available in our Cliff Railways Team.

Successful applicants will operate the Cliff Railways, working as part of a team to ensure they are operated safely and efficiently and in compliance with Council Policy and Health and Safety legislation.

We are looking for applicants who have front line experience of working with the general public and good interpersonal and communication skills. You'll be able to work as part of a team or alone. The role also involves handling payments, banking and administration. You will need a good general and local knowledge including local history and interest in Hastings.

A good level of general fitness and mobility is necessary due to long periods of time on your feet. Previous experience in routine mechanical maintenance would be desirable.

You must be prepared to be flexible as you will be working on a rota, including weekends and bank holidays.
