Salary: £33,351 - £38,052 per annum
Grade: D
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: 37 hours per week

As an EHCP Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing SEND casework for children and young people with special educational needs, ensuring that all statutory duties are carried out to a high standard and within required timescales. Your work will play a vital role in securing high-quality Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) that support children and young people to achieve their best possible outcomes.

You will coordinate statutory assessments, ensure EHCPs are finalised within statutory timeframes, and oversee the annual review process, attending reviews where appropriate. The role also involves supporting young people through key transition points, including preparation for adulthood.

Excellent communication and customer care skills are essential. You will work closely in partnership with children, young people, parents and carers, schools, settings, and a wide range of professionals to ensure a coordinated and child-centred approach.

This is a demanding but highly rewarding role. You will be joining an experienced, collaborative, and supportive team, with access to ongoing learning and development opportunities. Thurrock Council is committed to continuous professional development and supporting staff to build their skills and confidence within SEND casework.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, resilient, and motivated individual with a positive, “can-do” attitude, who is committed to improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
