Job Introduction

Heathfield Schools' Partnership is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, caring and committed Teaching Assistant to support children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) within our Junior School.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of children with special educational needs and disabilities. The successful candidate will provide high-quality classroom support, deliver targeted interventions and help pupils achieve their full potential both academically and socially.

Depending on experience and school requirements, there may also be opportunities to lead learning activities or provide class cover where appropriate.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).
  • Has experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally supporting children with SEND.
  • Can build positive and supportive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
  • Demonstrates a caring, patient and inclusive approach.
  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Is confident working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Maintains high standards of literacy and numeracy.
  • Is confident using ICT to support learning and administrative tasks.
  • Has strong practical skills and attention to detail.
  • Is committed to ongoing training and professional development.
