    We are seeking a Senior Business Insight and Performance Reporting Officer to join the Revenues & Transactional Services team within the Resources Department.

    This role is vital to the organisation, requiring you to produce analysis, statistical insights, and deep dives in various formats and solutions. You will be responsible for providing detailed and thorough insights to teams and services within the Revenues & Transactional Services Directorate and associated Departments. Your analysis will allow the organisation to direct resources effectively, understand key trends, gain understanding about customers and residents, and take proactive and remedial action to improve performance. You will report directly to the Head of Business Insight & Performance Reporting and will be expected to present key trends and findings from raw data at key meetings and briefings.

    The ideal candidate will possess extensive skills and knowledge across Revenues & Transactional Services and associated Departments, enabling you to understand the key insights and measures needed for services to improve their delivery and outcomes.

    You must be able to research, analyse, and interpret internal and external datasets to provide responses to requests in a responsive and timely manner. Key technical skills include the ability to manipulate and interpret data sets, undertaking Quantitative and Qualitative Research using a range of techniques, and extracting data and developing reports in Management Information Systems. Proficiency in using a range of software is essential, particularly Power BI, Excel, and other reporting and performance solutions to pull together reports and insights. You must be comfortable analysing, interpreting, and presenting information to both internal and external audiences, including senior officers and members.

    You will work with a level of autonomy, developing and delivering insight and analytics as detailed in the annual work programme. You will have the opportunity to develop the use of predictive analytics and data modelling to better inform service decisions and understand and predict future patterns of demand.
