Sefton Council are seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead and manage the successful delivery of a flagship construction scheme at the heart of a major regeneration programme. This is a contract for a minimum of 2 years. This is a rare opportunity to shape a once in a generation project, that will boost local communities, attract new investment and create a new landmark within Sefton’s built environment. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in delivering this complex, high-value, transformational development for the borough of Sefton. The postholder will have direct responsibility for project planning, consultant and contractor management, governance, stakeholder engagement, health & safety compliance, and budget performance. You will co-ordinate multidisciplinary teams and drive innovative solutions that support sustainable growth and long-term community benefit. The role therefore requires a high degree of autonomy and leadership in managing people, financial resources, and risk. Strong public sector experience is essential, alongside deep technical knowledge of construction standards, CDM regulations, and the full capital delivery lifecycle. Sefton is a great place to live, work, visit and invest. Coupled with the salary we also offer a range of excellent terms and conditions relating to holidays, sick pay, agile and flexible working, and Local Government pension scheme benefits. There are also a wide range of other benefits on offer in support of health and wellbeing. We provide many different services and offer a wide range of opportunities to job applicants from all backgrounds, ages, skills, and interests. We aim to have a diverse workforce that understands and represents the communities they serve.

If you would like further information or an informal discussion about the role, please email Lauren Reynolds at Lauren.Reynolds@sefton.gov.uk
