The Role
We’re recruiting Senior Delivery Managers here at Justice Digital to join our warm, collaborative Digital Infrastructure and Security Operations (DISO) team.
This role aligns with the Senior Delivery Manager from the Government Digital and Data Framework
The wider team within Justice Digital is responsible for all infrastructure, end-user computing, onsite support and delivery of technology products. It has responsibility for over 100,000 users across 1,000 locations nationwide.
Senior Delivery Managers ensure teams have the right environment to deliver the vision, products, and services iteratively, and to collaborate, communicate, and focus on what is most important. They work at the heart of teams to provide direction within a service or programme.
Senior Delivery Managers are accountable for building, motivating, supporting and facilitating teams as well as removing obstacles and blockers that get in their way. They challenge approaches inside and outside of the team they are working with and facilitate a focus on the outcome.
Senior Delivery Managers have a deep understanding of agile and lean practices and make judgements on the use of appropriate tools and techniques for their environment. They proactively manage dependencies, identify and manage priorities, overcome obstacles and get the best value against constraints. Delivery Managers may manage risks, budgets and people.

Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking Senior Delivery Managers to join our Network Capability team. This dynamic team plays a pivotal role in supporting the Ministry of Justice’s critical network infrastructure. By working closely with key internal stakeholders, the team ensures the delivery and maintenance of essential connectivity services that underpin operations for over 100,000 users across 1,000 locations nationwide. This role is pivotal in supporting the delivery of critical digital infrastructure across the Ministry of Justice estate, including Courts, Prisons, Probation Centres, and Offices.
- As a senior delivery manager, you’ll be accountable for the effective delivery of complex, high-risk products and services and will have strong communication skills and engage senior stakeholders.
- You’ll have experience across a range of products and services, throughout their entire lifecycle, and have greater responsibility and accountability as the main point of escalation. You’ll coach and mentor other delivery managers at different levels.
- You’ll be experienced in leading multidisciplinary teams, supporting and continuously improving products of significant scale and complexity.
- You’ll be responsible for building, maintaining, and motivating teams; protecting them and ensuring they collaborate to focus on what’s most important.
- You’ll coach team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement. You will proactively manage dependencies and risks to overcome delivery obstacles.
- You’ll be an active part of the broader delivery management community in Technology Services and MoJ Digital, receiving and providing coaching and mentoring, and you will also have the chance to participate in informal support networks with peers.
