The role:

• Liverpool City Council's Highways and Transportation directorate is seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our busy team
• The successful candidate will support the Permit and Coordination Team Leader in delivering and managing various traffic regulation orders, notices and special events that regulate traffic flow on the public highway. This role involves providing technical expertise in the development, implementation and compliance of temporary restrictions, supporting digital systems for traffic management, and liaising with internal and external partners to ensure statutory and legislative requirements are met
• The position requires a relevant qualification and professional experience, and a solid understanding of traffic regulation procedures within a local authority setting. The ideal candidate will be proactive, have excellent communication and decision-making skills, and be able to prioritise workloads effectively
• This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the efficient management of traffic regulation within a dynamic team dedicated to maintaining safe and effective highway operations
