
Senior Homelessness Officer

St Helens Borough Council are looking for an experienced officer with the skills and knowledge to lead on the delivery of statutory homelessness duties and jointly supervise the caseloads of a small team of officers. You will join the busy Housing Options team as a Senior Homelessness Officer.
Responding to the issue of homelessness is a key Council priority and statutory duty. With an announcement of long-term funding and a new national homelessness strategy expected shortly, there has never been a more exciting time to join our dedicated and experienced team.
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing a homelessness prevention, relief and main duty response and ensuring customers receive a high-quality service. The applicant will be responsible for supervising team members and ensuring procedures are followed and full and accurate records are maintained.
The successful applicant will also lead on the response to the more complex homeless cases.
Applicants will need to demonstrate that they are able to work as part of a team and establish strong working relationships with internal and external colleagues.

Salary range
- £39,862 - £42,839 per year
