Senior Housing Enabling Officer - Mid Sussex District Council

Location: Haywards Heath, West Sussex
Salary: £35,412 - £39,862 pa

About the Role:

Mid Sussex District Council is seeking a driven and experienced Senior Housing Enabling Officer to join our team. We are looking for an experienced affordable housing enabler who has a comprehensive understanding of affordable housing provision and delivery.

As the Senior Housing Enabling Officer, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of Housing Enabling functions to support the organisation's goals and objectives. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Nomination agreement negotiation and delivery
• Empty Homes investigations
• Performance/KPI management
• Ensuring compliance with policies and laws

You will work closely with the Principal Housing Enabling Officer to develop and implement relevant policies and procedures, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous relevant experience in a similar role
• Working knowledge of key planning policies (both national and local)
• Personal attributes including integrity, approachability, collaboration, relationship-building skills, and high emotional intelligence
