We are looking for a highly motivated team player to join our Housing Options Team.
The Housing Options Team areresponsible for preventing and relieving homelessness under the Homelessness Reduction Action 2017 and as well as managing the Council’s Housing Register.
You will support Housing Options Manager and the Options Team in fulfilling the Council’s statutory duty to prevent and relieve homelessness for those approaching the Council as homeless or threatened with homelessness.
This will involve managing your own caseload and supporting the other Housing Options Officers in their work. You will also support the Housing Options Manager in staff supervision, liaising with other statutory and voluntary partners and in managing reviews, appeals and complaints.
This is a challenging, varied and rewarding role where you will have the opportunity to help maintain and develop an already high performing service, as well as enhance your own skills and expertise.
Your experience of working in a challenging front line homelessness service will help you to remain calm under pressure while delivering the highest levels of customer service.
You will have an excellent knowledge of the homelessness legislation and excellent IT skills and be able to keep accurate records and meet deadlines.
We are looking for someone who will provide excellent customer care and be sensitive to customer needs but still ask searching questions when necessary.
Whilst the role will mainly be Office based initially for training purposes, the role is hybrid, combining home and office working.

Salary range
- £42,505 - £45,719 per year
