Job summary
The Senior Intelligence Analysts Function is made up of Senior Intelligence Analysts which is led by the Head of Intelligence Analysis. The function has a flexible operating model, which enables us to respond dynamically to the needs of the organisation and beyond; Senior Intelligence Analysts rotate between the roles on an annual basis. We work closely as a team of professionals in providing our expertise to the most complex and high profile economic crime investigations, developing operations and playing an active part in delivering the Intelligence Division’s core business. Your ability to enjoy team working is vital as we all provide support, share demand and regularly share learning.
This is a role for an experienced Intelligence Analyst who likes to be challenged intellectually, welcomes variety but is used to working independently on investigations and detailed evidence for long periods. You will be expected to work on various long and short-term tasks simultaneously and will need to be organised and agile in your approach to demand. You should also have a good depth of experience investigating serious and/or economic crime.
The Senior Intelligence Analysts are responsible for generating strategic, tactical, operational and investigative products to a high standard, as well as supporting the development of sensitive intelligence. We work to the competency frameworks set out by both College of Policing and Professional Heads of Intelligence Assessment (PHIA). In turn your work may be published nationally, and will have an influential role in advising policy direction and decision making at a senior level. You will be required to represent the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) at joint agency and public private partnership meetings
Our Senior Intelligence Analysts are encouraged to continually challenge themselves and develop their skillset by proactively seeking innovative techniques and training. Job description
As a Senior Intelligence Analyst you will be responsible for:
- Produce analytical Intelligence products recognised within the National Intelligence Model (NIM) to aid in developing Intelligence operations.
- Work with case investigation teams as the dedicated Senior Intelligence Analyst on Serious Fraud Office (SFO) Operations producing analytical Intelligence products which informs operational planning and aids the Case Team in understanding the intelligence picture, articulating large, complex data sets, such as telecommunications and financial material in a clear and concise manner.
- Compile and present evidential analysis at court as required.
- Be proactive in engaging with key stakeholders to ignite partnership working, gather and collate further intelligence to enrich the Serious Fraud Office’s (SFO) intelligence picture, bringing risks to the forefront from an operational and strategic perspective.
- Be a threat lead and proactively develop intelligence from a operational and strategic perspective.
