Job Description

Salary range: Grade 4 £30,717 - £31,611 (pro rata) p.a. plus fantastic benefits
Contract: Permanent
Hours of work: 18 hours per week
Location: Croydon

The working pattern will Mondays, Fridays and alternate Saturdays

Libraries are currently open 10-6 Monday to Friday and 9-5 Saturday, you will be required to work full days

Location: The role is based in Selsdon and Purely Libraries but you will be expected to be willing to work in any of Croydon’s Libraries

About the Role: We are looking for someone who has a passion for customer service and for working as part of a team delivering Croydon’s library services directly to our customers. This will include supporting the delivery of activities and events and assisting customers with accessing online information and other resources.

You will need to be

  • Customer focussed with excellent communication skills

  • Able to demonstrate an ability to supervise staff

  • Interested in libraries and in serving Croydon’s diverse communities

  • A good team worker across all 9 of Croydon’s libraries and as part of the outreach programme

  • Enthusiastic in your approach to engagement with customers of all ages
