There are some exciting cross cutting projects to get involved in and this is an excellent opportunity to balance day today delivery while implementing innovative solutions to unlock affordable housing supply.
Person specification
Our day job is to ensure excellent stewardship of our grant funded programmes, making sure delivery is compliant with funding conditions and supported by robust performance reporting and risk management. To do that, you’ll need to be used to spinning several plates, responding quickly where challenges arise and shape solutions.
The Head of Strategic Partners believes in working in a collaborative way and values diverse thinking to foster better decision making. You will be an enthusiastic and proactive individual, able to work across teams and with external partners to build strong relationships and deliver at pace. A curious mindset and a focus on continuous improvement and innovation are essential.
Ideally, you will have experience of affordable housing delivery as part of a development team in a Registered Provider, developer or local authority setting. This role is a great opportunity if you are looking to gain a national level and strategic perspective of affordable housing delivery, drawing on your own experience to identify new investment opportunities and new ways of unlocking affordable housing delivery.
Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level, grounding your discussions in a clear understanding of both commercial and operational impacts. You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun and engaging team environment and be able to negotiate and persuade.
As an affordable housing professional, you’ll understand how to bring people with you and be able to demonstrate you can work with others as part of a team in a collaborative, inclusive way.
