Job description

You will be joining a collaborative and purpose-driven team committed to helping the National Housing Bank operate effectively, deliver against its business plan priorities and fulfil its corporate responsibilities. This is a key role at the heart of the NHB, enabling smooth operations, effective governance and strategic alignment across a fast-growing organisation with real social purpose.

The Senior Manager will provide high-quality management and strategic support to Executive Leadership, coordinating activity across directorate functions and helping to ensure that priorities are delivered effectively.

A key part of the role will be overseeing and supporting effective engagement for the NHB Office, ensuring colleagues across the business and wider Agency are informed of progress against priorities, initiatives and opportunities to celebrate success.

The role will also support the design and delivery of change initiatives across the National Housing Bank. You will work with multifunctional teams across the Agency to identify and scale good practice, bring in new ideas and help introduce innovative approaches that strengthen ways of working. You will be able to build strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders, including at a senior level.

This is a rare opportunity to shape how the NHB operates from the ground up, working closely with senior stakeholders and colleagues across Homes England.

Person specification

You are experienced managing competing priorities, use good judgement and bring structure and clarity to complex activity. You are also comfortable navigating through times of ambiguity and change.

You will have proven experience in recruitment and resource management. You will also bring experience of delivering engagement activities.

With strong planning, reporting and governance skills, you will be confident ensuring processes are well managed and compliant with corporate standards. You will be able to gather insight from internal and external stakeholders and use this to drive improvements, solve problems and support better decision-making.

You will bring a collaborative, inclusive and innovative approach, building strong relationships and helping to embed positive values and behaviours in day-to-day work.

You will be resilient, adaptable and confident engaging with senior stakeholders, while maintaining focus on the operational and strategic impact of the work you do.
