
Senior Planner
We are looking for a Senior Planner to support our planning and operations team by coordinating all aspects of responsive repairs and leading a team of Planning Support Officers and Planners. You will play a key role in managing workloads, maintaining operative diaries, working with IT systems and ensuring that residents, operatives and subcontractors receive a smooth and reliable service. This is a varied and fast paced position that requires flexibility, strong organisation and excellent communication. As the organisation continues to grow, the environment will change quickly, so you will need to adapt with confidence while keeping service quality at the forefront.
What you’ll do
In this role, you will manage the day to day performance of planners and support officers, setting and monitoring targets to ensure business objectives are achieved. You will build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and attend client meetings when required. A key focus will be achieving first time fixes by planning and mobilising resources effectively, updating client systems and managing work in progress. You will maintain clear communication with customers, oversee further works and material orders and ensure high standards of professionalism in every interaction. You will also assist with KPI reporting, analyse internal processes, contribute ideas for improvement and work closely with the Planning Manager to set personal and team development goals. You will need to be in the office a minimum of 4 days a week for meetings and collaborative working.
What you’ll need
- Experience working in a dynamic scheduling or planning environment
- Strong communication skills and experience in a customer focused role
- Previous experience of developing and guiding a team
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload
- Confident use of IT systems, including Microsoft Office, and familiarity with managing data and administrative processes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining accuracy, discretion and a positive approach
