Job summary
This role sits within the Cambridge Growth Company (CGC), a subsidiary of Homes England. The CGC is a small but growing cross-disciplinary team of professionals with a focus on supporting the Government's ambition for Cambridge. Government has set out ambitious plans to grow the greater Cambridge economy and associated housing, which is critically important to UK Plc. Ensuring this growth happens within an urban exemplar of placemaking will be essential to existing and future residents.
Job description
Working collaboratively with public and private sector partners, this role will work with economic, housing and other technical experts, local government, business, community and other stakeholders to:
(i) help develop the evidence base for a strategic growth plan and long term delivery vehicle)
(ii) provide support on delivery vehicle set up tasks related to planning and placemaking
(iii) frame the interaction between growth scenarios and spatial options work for the Cambridge Growth Company and existing and emerging development plan frameworks
(iv) unlock and accelerate key sites that contribute to the overall growth ambition.

Person specification
We are looking for someone to join our Team who understands and is passionate about the planning and delivery of quality homes, placemaking and regeneration and wants to work in an inclusive, support and driven team.
You will be motivated by the transformative impact of placemaking and understand the ability of a development led response to tackle social deprivation and economic underperformance. The successful candidate will use their skills and experience in planning and delivery of large scale economic and housing growth, complex infrastructure schemes and sustainable placemaking to support the Cambridge ambition. A good understanding and demonstrable practical experience of development management including complex and large-scale projects.
The role requires a good understanding of sustainable place-making and relevant Government policies and priorities and will ideally have experience of dealing with large scale and complex projects.
