
Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapist
We are recruiting a Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapist at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 18.5 Hours (Monday – Wednesday)
Contract Type: Permanent/Part Time

Team: Adult Services

We pay an attractive salary of £20,755 - £22,355 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join a well established community occupational therapy team to deliver OT services to adults with physical disabilities in the borough of Caerphilly.
The successful applicant will be working with service users and their carers to undertake complex moving and handling risk assessments, as well as providing appropriate equipment and planning for appropriate adaptations.
You will work with the Team Manager and other staff to ensure the team provides an appropriate service to the public within current legislation, regulations, guidance, and the Directorate’s policies and procedures.
For the role, we ask that you have:
- An Occupational Therapist Qualification and registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC).
- Knowledge of Health and Social Care legislation and current practice including Social Services and Well-Being Act 2014.
- The ability to work as an autonomous practitioner within own scope of practice and knowledge base. This will include the ability to problem solve and make effective decisions.
- A Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business purposes to travel throughout the community to visit service users in a variety of locations.

Salary range
