Job description

A senior product manager can work on a group of products that share a value proposition, or a single product that is complex, high risk or sensitive. They are responsible for product quality and value, working with teams to identify, implement and improve strategies and tactics for their products. They might also be involved in parts of programme management activity.

The Product team delivers a broad ecosystem digital self-serve tools and services that allows MaPS, and its service delivery partners, and stakeholders, to provide digital solutions that meet both their statutory objectives and helps deliver against the longer-term strategic goals and agendas for change. This includes supporting the implementation and integration of B2C CRM and CCaaS solutions within the product ecosystem to enable improved customer insight, engagement, and service delivery.

As the key interface between strategic and operational stakeholders and the Technology & Change team; operating as part of a cross-functional squad, the role holder will be responsible for developing, managing, and optimising digital self-serve customer journeys and multi-channel experiences for our organisation, working directly with stakeholders, users of the systems and platforms, and of course syncing with the MaPS Product Community. The successful candidate will ideally bring experience of working with CRM, CCaaS solutions and customer data to inform product strategy and delivery.

What you’ll be doing?

At this role level, you will:

  • lead products through different phases of the product life cycle, from discovery, through development, delivery and continuous improvement, to retirement
  • make decisions based on the overall quality and value of your products
  • manage associate product managers and product managers
  • be involved in recruiting associate product managers, product managers and contractors
