    We have anexciting opportunity for a full-time Quality Monitoring Support Officer to join us within Adult Social Care (ASC).

    What is the role

    Reporting to the Contracts and Commissioning Team Manager, the role iswithin the newly formed Quality Monitoring team, supporting the monitoring of Health and Social Care contracted services across the city. Effective monitoring of services is essential to ensure good quality care is being provided to keep people safe.

    The role will lead a team on the delivery of high-quality care services by conducting quality assurance and contract monitoring activities using a quality assessment tool such as Provider Assessment and Market Management Solution (PAMMS) or alternative tools. Supporting continuous improvement across commissioned ASC services, ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory and quality standards.

    As well as conducting full and focussed quality assessments you will oversee the planning and execution of quality monitoring visits. You will develop and maintain quality improvement plans and carry out follow up inspections and provide ongoing support to ensure improvements are embedded. You will analyse quality assessment date and produce reports and dashboards for managers, commissioners and stakeholders. In addition, you will act as a senior point of contact for providers, coaching and mentoring them and internal team members as well as providing day to day supervision , guidance and support to Quality Monitoring Officers. This will involve allocating work, monitoring performance and ensure consistency and quality in assessments and reporting.

    Who is the person

    You will be a registered nurse, social worker or allied health professional (AHP) registered with HCPC (or relevant successor body) or NMC or registered manager in a care service or have equivalent work experience. With experience of working in a health and social care setting you will have significant experience in Quality Assurance or Contract Monitoring as well as knowledge of CQC standards and inspection frameworks. You will have excellent analytical, communication and report writing skills as well as the ability to lead projects and manage competing priorities effectively. With a strong understanding of adult social care services and relevant legislation you will be able to communicate difficult and controversial issues including performance and change. You will also have experience of mentoring or supervising staff.
