This is an exciting time to join the South East & East (SEE) Psychology Services team following a recent change process to join the East and KSS Psychology teams. This has involved wide consultation with staff and delivery partners to create a strengths based foundation for efficient delivery across the SEE Area in addition to a strong focus on supporting our people to be their best and fulfilled at work. You will be joining a strong team of Registered and Senior Psychologists led by the SEE Senior Leadership Team and supported by a Corporate Services team. There are a number of bases advertised (preferences discussed at interview) but a flexible approach is required for all posts working across Community, and Category B, C and D prisons. The breadth of work could include consultancy and delivery across a range of areas such as Building Choices, Safety, Extremism/Pathfinder, delivery in Open prisons and clinical work including assessments, as well as line management and supervision. You will be integrated into our peer supervision model and have other opportunities to connect with colleagues across the broad and diverse Area.

Licences

This post requires the post holder to act as a co-ordinating (clinical) supervisor for trainees undertaking recognised training routes. To be eligible, the post holder should have two years post registration experience at the point of taking up post. However, applications will be welcomed from psychologists who have a minimum of 18 months post registration experience; although they will not be able to formally take up the post until they have been registered for two years.

• Possess a professional background in Psychology
• Experience in providing clinical supervision
• Completed relevant training in effective models of treatment and best practise
• They are likely to also be a Chartered Psychologist and Full member of the appropriate division of the BPS if the post requires it.
• The post holder should have two years post registration experience at the point of taking up post although applications are encouraged from those with 18 months or more at the time of application
