
Senior Safeguarding Manager (1 year FTC) Maternity Cover
About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced safeguarding professional to join our team as Senior Safeguarding Manager on a 1 year fixed term contract as maternity cover. You’ll support the Designated Safeguarding Lead in keeping our campus safe, lead on serious cases, and help train and guide staff. You’ll also represent the college externally and ensure our safeguarding systems are strong and up to date.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and support safeguarding and Prevent initiatives across campus
- Manage serious safeguarding cases and offer expert advice
- Train and support campus safeguarding staff
- Represent the college at external meetings and boards
- Contribute to safeguarding policies, training plans, and quality reports
- Support the Duty Manager scheme and promote key themes in tutorials
- Oversee budgets and line manage staff in your area
What We’re Looking For
- Level 4 qualification in Safeguarding (or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and Prevent
- Experience handling complex cases and working with young people
- Great communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
- Confident using IT systems and safeguarding databases
- Understanding of OFSTED’s safeguarding expectations

Salary range
- £47,800 - £54,800 per year
