Adopt London West Regional Adoption Agency is a partnership between the London Boroughs of Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham and Hounslow, hosted by Ealing. The service recruit adopters and finds families for children across our partner agencies. We also offer support services to adoptive and special guardianship families.

Every child has the right to a safe and supportive family life. Adopt London West aspires to promote best practice across its adoption service and adoption and special guardianship support services.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an additional senior social worker to join Adopt London West on a full-time permanent contact, in the Recruitment and Family Finding Team.

We are looking for Social Workers with experience of adoption and an understanding of the potential complex dynamics in these arrangements. You will be committed to innovative, therapeutically informed practice and be passionate about assuring the best possible outcomes for children and their families as well as driving forward early permanence for children.

Working closely and supportively with prospective adopters, you will be able to undertake prospective adopter assessments to a high standard and be committed to meeting the required timescales for the approval of prospective adopters. You will then support approved adopters to explore links with children with complex needs and support the matching and transition of children to their care, continuing support of the adopters from placement until the making of an Adoption Order.

Working closely with other professionals and childcare social workers across the Adopt London West region and other agencies is essential.

You will hold a social work qualification and be SWE registered.

It is an exciting time to join us, here at Ealing Council. If you would like to make a positive difference to our residents and borough, then we are looking forward to hearing from you.
