Title: Senior Stock Condition Surveyor

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time, 35 hours per week

Salary: £47,135 per annum to £52,000 per annum(London weighted salary) or £41,168 per annum to £45,800 (Regional salary), dependanton experience. *Plus Essential Car User Allowance £1,300

Grade: 9

Reporting Office: London, Stratford or Manchester, Trafford

Persona: Agile Worker: 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location (hybrid working)

Join our Asset Strategy Team at L&Q:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Asset Strategy team as a Senior Stock Condition Surveyor within Property Services and play an instrumental part in helping us to better understand our stock and improve our stock intelligence, To help underpin our long-term asset strategy and help shape our investment plans and expenditure of up to £200m per year in improving our existing homes.

We are currently increasing our team and are looking for a number of talented and experience people to join us. You will be required to have a good range of technical knowledge of building construction, maintenance practices and skills as this will need to be applied to all stock condition related activities.

Your impact in the role:

The job entails responsibility for leading and inspiring a team of up to six Stock Condition Surveyors, each managing their own patch within our housing stock, ensuring high quality data collection that influences property investment decisions.

You will be expected to develop, manage and monitor performance against annual survey targets and undertake quality assurance assessments on completed surveys for both internal and external surveying resources.

You will be required to travel as part of this role, we will require candidates to have a driving license and access to a vehicle.

What you'll bring:

  • Previous experience of supervising a team with effective management skills
  • Relevant degree, professional accreditation and experience in property inspection and asset management
  • 5 years asset management experience
  • Excellent legislative knowledge round HHSRS & Decent Home Failures
  • Excellent IT skills, including stock condition software and handheld devices
