    Salary: £69,000
    Contract Type: Permanent

At Hightown, we believe everyone deserves a safe home and your leadership could help make that a reality for thousands of residents. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Surveyor to steer our Healthy Homes Team and champion high standards across our homes and communities.

This is a role where your expertise genuinely matters. You will be supporting colleagues, empowering your team to succeed, and making decisions that directly improve the lives of the people we serve. Collaboration is at the heart of how we work, and you will play a key part in shaping our approach to safe, high-quality housing.

    What You Will Be Doing

As our Senior Surveyor, you will take the lead on delivering safe, healthy homes by:

    • Managing and developing a team of Healthy Homes inspectors and operatives who carry out inspections, remedial works and responses in line with Awaab’s Law.
    • Overseeing our Stock Condition Survey programme, ensuring our asset information is accurate and robust.
    • Leading major works projects, including roof replacements and component upgrades across our homes.
    • Providing clear, expert advice on property defects, building safety, disrepair cases and regulatory requirements.
    • Working closely with colleagues across departments to ensure a consistent, respectful and resident-focused service.

    What You Will Bring

We are looking for someone who combines technical skill with emotional intelligence, someone who values inclusion, treats residents and colleagues with compassion, and understands the impact a safe home has on wellbeing.

    You will need:

    • Significant experience in surveying, asset management or property maintenance.
    • Strong leadership ability and a commitment to bringing the best out of others.
    • Excellent knowledge of housing regulations, building safety and disrepair legislation.
    • A positive, solution-focused approach with confidence in making sound professional judgements.

    Essential Requirements

    • RICS Qualified
    • Experience working within the requirements of Awaab’s Law
    • Up-to-date knowledge of construction, surveying and building regulations
    • HHSRS (Housing Health and Safety Rating System) inspector qualification

    Why Join Hightown?

You will be part of a supportive organisation that values teamwork, respects professional expertise, and puts residents at the centre of every decision. In return, we offer:

    • 33 days’ annual leave including Bank Holidays
    • Hybrid working (minimum 2 days onsite following induction)
    • Competitive £69,000 salary for a 35-hour week
    • Monthly attendance bonus
    • Life Assurance - 3x annual salary
    • High street and online retailer discounts
    • Free use of on-site gym
    • Career development opportunities and support for further qualifications

We will be reviewing applications and interviewing on a rolling basis, so we encourage you to apply early.

Hightown is an Equal Opportunities & Disability Confident Employer.
