    What You’ll Be Doing

    Camden Children’s Safeguarding and Social Work are looking for a highly motivated and influential Service Manager to manage and co-ordinate the work in the Care Provisions service, making appropriate use of resources to ensure the provision of a high quality, comprehensive and effective service to children, young people and their families. You will take operational management responsibility for the Resources, Fostering, Permanence and Kinship section of the service, ensuring delivery of high quality, inclusive services, responsive to the needs of service users and the wider community and that address the safeguarding needs of children and young people in Camden.

    All About You

    The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of the legislative framework relating to children and care leavers, fostering, adoption, kinship and care settings. You will be able to effectively use and translate statutory, community, voluntary and independent resources within the context of government legislation, Council and departmental policy in order to enhance best practice and contribute to better outcomes for adults and care leavers.

    This will be coupled with experience of people management and team building skills (including managing the team and evidence of applications). The ideal person will have strong experience of budgetary control and management with a strong knowledge of commissioning of services and development of services. It is also essential for you to hold substantial knowledge and practical application of risk assessment and safeguarding adult’s statutory frameworks and current agendas.
