About the Team:

Join our dynamic and vibrant Registration Team to provide a professional and customer focused approach to a frontline service, meeting the needs of our customers at life's key moments. You will join a team of 20, which is made up of Registrars, Team Leaders, Senior Registrars, a Venues Officer and a Commercial Officer.
About the Role:
As a Sessional Registrar, you will be a part of some of the most important life changing moments for our citizens and you will be responsible for conducting weddings and civil partnership ceremonies in the many licensed venues within the London Borough of Lambeth, including our beautiful Grade 11 listed Town Hall. There will also be opportunities to undertake other civil registration related duties.
As a sessional ceremonies officer, post holders will be working as and when required on a rota basis, weekdays, weekends, and Bank Holidays. This may also include occasional evening working (after 5pm). Ability to work weekends (on a rota basis) is essential.
To be considered for interview, your CV and supporting statement will clearly evidence:
- You should have excellent communication skills smart appearance and a friendly and positive character.
- The ability to speak confidently in public is essential together with the ability to understand and apply rules and procedures.
- Able to evidence competent use of standard software packages
- You need good communication and organisational skills to maintain accurate records and to deal with unexpected situations.

- £39,150 - £40,344 per year
