Vacancies for sessional tutors for April 2026 starts

We are looking for qualified, enthusiastic, and flexible tutors to deliver part-time courses as listed below. The posts offer excellent progression opportunities and a chance to work with a supportive team.

We are looking for tutors who can teach:

  • Arts & Craft

Duties (Tutors)

  • Carry out initial and diagnostics assessments.
  • Maintain attendance registers, records of progress and ensure learners are enrolled on the right levels
  • Create teaching and learning materials and resources
  • Differentiate levels and create individualised resources for learners
  • Check and assess learners’ work and provide feedback
  • To work within the Learn Harrow Quality framework ensuring that services delivered meet the standards required of the contract.
  • To maintain effective and efficient administrative procedures as required

About You

Essential

  • Must have a professional teaching qualification as appropriate for the subject taught such as Award in Education and Training or PGCE
  • Experienced in a range of IT skills, including advanced in MS Office and E-Learning platforms
  • Enhanced DBS

Experience:

  • Experience of teaching accredited and non-accredited courses
  • Experience of undergoing an Ofsted observation as well as internal and other external observations.
  • Experience working with disadvantaged people and those with health problems and unemployed people (desirable)
  • Experience of teaching individuals of all diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Experience of implementing Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values in line with the course content.

Skills:

  • Adaptable and flexibility, this is an essential requirement for the role.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, listening and presentation skills.
  • Strong coaching and teaching ability.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Must have excellent time management skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of online learning platforms
  • IT working knowledge of MS Office
  • Knowledge of internal Quality Assurance processes.
